Silver can get really tarnished in a very short time. There are a few easy methods for returning the shine to your silver pieces. For lightly tarnished silver, make a salt bath. It’s important to add hot water and the amount of it depends on how much jewelry you are cleaning at once. For a bit more tarnished silver, use non-gel toothpaste and a soft toothbrush. And for heavier tarnish, mix three parts baking soda and one part water and apply this paste to a wet piece of silver jewelry with a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly.
